  • Wendy Scott

    Wendy is the founder of Gaia Pilates. She has been practising pilates for 20 years and teaching for 15, having originally trained with Body Control Pilates. From 2012 -20 she co-owned Peckham’s Gaia Studio from which Gaia Pilates is born.

    A Back4Good practitioner she specialises in Pilates for Back Pain. Also trained in pre/post natal, osteoporosis, hypermobility and pilates for runners / sports performance. She takes a evidence-based approach and strives to get to know her clients to fully understand their needs and goals. She aims to provide a friendly, encouraging space where everyone feels welcome.

  • Madison Capel-Bird

    Maddie’s background in movement as a Contemporary dancer has a large influence on her teaching style and her classes are technical, flowing and fun and she aims to help students become more aware of their body.

    Maddie’s classes can be powerful and challenging, but dealing with injuries and chronic illness has allowed her to adapt her way of moving and teaching.

    Her intention is to help others move in an enjoyable, safe and confident way through the fun and mindful practice of Barre.

  • Daisy Edwards

    Daisy is a Barre and Pilates Teacher. Her passion for movement started with dancing from a young age & followed into training and working as a professional.

    She is grateful for her role in helping people find a love for moving their bodies & enjoys creating a safe, focused space for you to practice in.

    She holds a Level 3 qualification in Mat Pilates and is excited to be joining you all at Gaia.

  • Suzanne Pendlebury

    Suzanne grew up in Manchester and after studying Fashion moved to London to begin a career in buying. She has practiced yoga for over 20 years and what began as a way to escape the stresses of a busy career and sometimes life, soon became a way to actually look within and for life not to escape her.

    Suzanne strives to create a safe and welcoming space to all who practice with her. Always options to adapt your practice, challenging if that feels good or easing off, finding the balance that works for you. And hopefully have some fun along the way!

  • Flora McMurtrie

    Flora’s background in contemporary dance performance influenced her career as a Pilates instructor. She has been practicing Pilates since her training at Falmouth University in 2013 and has been teaching Pilates Matwork since 2021.

    With an interest in movement and injury rehabilitation Flora enjoys incorporating classical Pilates exercises with a contemporary style to encourage a more varied, safe and accessible class for clients of all capabilities.

    Flora is also available for 1-2-1 sessions in Matwork and Reformer Pilates.

  • Alison Bolton

    Ali is a Holistic Therapist specialising in Reiki, Sound Healing, Breathwork, and Touch Therapies to help people connect with their own inner calm and peace. By using these modalities, in 1;1’s and classes she creates a safe space for clients to explore and heal from within, uncovering their own potential for calm and balance in their lives.

    Ali’s passion is to help you access your own power, and to assist you in discovering your inner peace and a deepen you understanding of how to feel soothed, rested & regulated. This can all support you in navigating life with a strong connection to your mind, body and own unique inner guidance system.

  • Kate Francis

    Kate is a keen yogi who has been teaching classes for all abilities since 2015. She completed her 200hr YTT in London with Sun Power Yoga, and after having her own children, qualified as a Children's & Teen Yoga teacher.

    She specialises in Vinyasa, Pregnancy & Postnatal Yoga as well as Yoga for Teens & Kids. She is also a qualified Baby Massage & Baby Yoga instructor, and facilitates Women's Circles and Teen/Tween coming of Age Circles & Workshops.

    Kate's style of teaching is always open, inclusive, relaxed and fun!

  • Vanessa Abreu

    Vanessa is a Portuguese/Mozambican dance artist, yoga, barre and dance teacher and a qualified Nutritional Therapist. She is interested in developing safe and healthy working environments.

    Vanessa has created an accessible practice and her classes are a powerful and challenging moving meditation. They draw from anatomical principals with a strong emphasis on the breath.

    Her barre classes are energising and upbeat. Expect to work hard and have fun!

  • Mari Camiloti

    Mari is an experienced Body Control Pilates teacher, dance artist and movement director from Brazil. Her passion for movement and somatic practices is highly incorporated in her lessons, and her generous approach inspire clients of all walks of life to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

    Her classes focus on supporting people to be confident and have a joyful experience whilst introducing challenging exercises progressively. Mari takes pride at helping clients to develop a mindful, safe and effective workout.

  • Ziggy

    Ziggy is an integral part of Gaia Pilates. Having spent most of his life in a Serbian shelter he moved to Peckham a few years ago and now resides with Wendy - regularly assisting in her pilates classes.

    Ziggy originally trained with The School of Hard Knocks and is dedicated to the continuing study of ‘Being a Well Behaved Dog’. He has made remarkable progress.

    He looks forward to welcoming you in to Gaia Pilates (as long as you give him belly rubs and treats)
